This is more of a Evening Tea post.  My day started great..unpacked the coolers so they don't stink, got the windows on the Jeep, changed the oil in the lawn tractor, and got the grass cut.

Decided I needed to use the new-to-me chainsaw.  So, I read the manual (well, I skipped the boring parts...more to come on that), got the fuel and bar oil filled, and went to start it.  Pull, pull, pull, x20 and it cranks, then dies.  Pull, pull, pull another ten times and nothing.  Back to the manual and it states to have the chain lock bar pushed forward...ah!  Now, at this point I questioned why it ever worked, but nevermind that, the manual states to blah, blah, blah.  So I push it forward and try cranking another ten times...nothing.  Back to the manual...if flooded, then blah, blah, blah.  So I pull the spark plug, clean the spark plug, pull the string a few times, re-insert the spark plug, try cranking a few more times and boom...it cranks.  Then I pull the trigger and it dies.  A bit of white smoke comes out, but it must be oil from the flooding that made it to the muffler.  I do that one more time and decide to let it idle to warm up.  I pull the trigger and it dies, but a lot more smoke comes out.

Turns out I stupidly (ignorantly) didn't pull the bar lock back, so the mechanism heated up and melted some plastic and froze up the system.

Off to YouTube to see how bad this is going to be.  Turns out it is a fairly cheap lesson, but I didn't get to use my new toy today.  :(  When they state that using the bar lock while the engine is running can quickly mess it up...they aren't kidding around.

The grass is cut though!

Once I started reading the chainsaw part, i really thought this was going to be a post made from the ER. A little anti climatic to be honest...

My Mom had some major surgery Thu so I'm up in Boston with family.  Silver lining is that there has been great weather up here.

Hope mom is doing well John.

Wife has strep so I'm going to be nursing and watching a lot of football.  Game Day is ON!

LSU will beat Auburn

GA will win in a squeaker

OLE Miss is going to give Alabama a hand full but lose by a few.
