Just found out one of my coworkers whom I was hoping to get out for a ride was in a terrible accident over the weekend.

I don't know any details other than in the article and I don't normally like sharing sad news but want to share only to reinforce - please always be as safe as you possibly can and always wear your seatbelt even if it's just for a short trip or quick jaunt.

Good reminder, Don.  I hope he pulls through ok.

Does she want teenagers? We can help!

I'm thinking fuel is so low you have to go and sleep in the garage.

I think a week with teenagers would make Katie question having another kid for sure.

Fuel prices make it a perfect time for a long distance trip like Moab.

Anyone know how to pitch  "I'm going to take a vacation for a week plus while you stay here pregnant and take care of a toddler."
That's a hell of a pitch, but if you slightly modify it to, "Look honey, I told you when we got together that I'm the boss and I do what I want to do - when I want to do it.   I'll be gone for a week plus, maybe longer.  Call your mom to come comfort you while I'm away.  I'll get both of you a T shirt.", you'll be just fine.

The key is to remind her of prior agreements, and continually deliver on those agreements.

I almost laughed out loud when I read this.  I'll try the modified version and report back.  Maybe New Year's Eve is a good time to make the pitch.

If she is financially oriented, do be sure to add in the stuff about cheapest time to do long trips...but sticking with the basics should be enough.

Is he?  Or is he simply the voice of reason from days past?  His slogan is "Sometimes you have to slap a b**ch now to go big now and later. "

Maybe. If your only goal is to go wheeling this may work. I want other things that only she can provide.

Haha, sorry Clark. The slogan is catchy though.
