Unplugged for the weekend. Took out at 3pm on Friday and did not get back till 1 sunday. Took my two youngest girls for some daddy/ daughter time. Perfect weekend. No cell service... perfect.

At a small Gartner meeting this morning at Maggianos. 75% men and none taking notes. All but one woman in the room are taking copious notes.

Waiting for a crew to come and rip out the old carpet upstairs and replace with hardwood.  It's been a major PITA getting ready over the past two weeks as we have had to move or store anything small in order for them to make moving furniture easy.  Two days of adventure to come.  We've had two tons of hardwood sitting in the dining room for the past week acclimating.

Prefinished or oak boards?

I hope they use a dustless system.  Had oak board hardwoods installed in my last house and it was a mess for weeks.  Post pics before and after.

Prefinished,  Wife vetoed the plain oak because of dust and time to finish.  Before pics are carpet.  I should be able to post an after pic.

We had to have the downstairs kitchen and entryway refinished after a water leak some years back.  It wasn't too bad, but since the new floor is the entire upstairs we didn't want to live with it.

Next time I have hardwoods refinished it will happen while I am on Vacation. I had to climb into and out of my bedroom. Never again, the Admiral was not happy. But the price was killer because I knew the Hardwood floor guy.
