Quote from: kvom on July 23, 2017, 11:37:09 AMSo this morning our 2 y/o 55" Vizio TV lost its picture (but not sound). Some internet research point to the power supply board as a frequent culprit, and I found some videos on repairs. After removing the rear panel (18 screws), I was able to identify the proper board and ordered a replacement from shopjimmy.com. Specified FedEx overnight, but that probably means getting the board on Tuesday.Probably won't be buying any more Vizio products in the future.Samsung goes through this too, based on a friend's experience. He ordered the part and it didn't fix the issue. My vizio is fine, but I find the UI to need improvement, so I doubt I'll get another vizio...but we'll see when it's time to drop $1k vs 500 hundred bucksSent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

The guy put the TV face down on my carpet removed the back and removed and installed/soldered new capacitors or something like that, he charged me $65.00 The capacitors probably cost a couple peanuts but he was fast and the TV was fixed. Same day service. He told me if you ever see a Flat screen on the trash pile that is probably what is wrong with it.
Nothing like walking out to my truck at 3am this morning and a Bear is standing in front of it. That woke me real quick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
