I was relieved when the sailboat finally sold. Although at 1st I really regretted having to let her go. I plan to get another one at some point.

Prepping boat for sale to guy coming from NH! Damn detailing is hard work.

Why are you selling? Getting another?

Guy wants it and willing to pay top $ for it. I've never kept a boat more than 5 years until this one, usually 2-3 years, and flip. 12 years with this one. It's been a great boat for the girls and their friends. Time for a change.

Definitely will buy another boat.

Good looking boat. If i was in the market for one, that would be at the top of my list

I definitely don't subscribe to that.  Hate to see this one go and can't wait to find the next one.

I agree. Those that think the 2nd best day is the day you sell it, have never really loved their boats.

Boats don’t cost a lot to own. Four wheeling cost more than boating.

Sailboats cost a lot to maintain. Bottom Job every 5 years $3000 Constant Teak maintenance for exposed wood, Canvas, lines, too many maintenance items to list. Slip payments $200 - $600 + a  month depending on length, it adds up. And just like the Jeep, they require an emergency fund. I miss the Days when my boat was small enough to fit on a trailer and dry storage was only $50/month. Jeeping and boating gets expensive. You pick your poisons, I guess.

Maintenance vs upgrades are very different.
