Casted off from Ft Lauderdale Yacht Club earlier today. Sailing a Catalina 42 in the Ft Lauderdale to Key West race. Currently passing Miami. There’s a Volvo 70 boat racing with us. From the Volvo ocean races.

Thanks all! I’ve always wanted to do a destination ocean race.

@BigMike J24s are a blast.

@Blue J  This boat belongs to one of the parents of the kids that I coach in Florida. Haha we’ve got all the Nav software and GPS on this boat.

@patman there is 5 of us on the boat. Pretty simple boat. Not flying a spinnaker in this fleet. Also have electric winches instead of traditional crank winches.
We should be in Key West by Thursday night or Friday Morning. 28-36 hours.
