Flying to Texas Friday for my 40th HS reunion.  going to actually get some good brisket for once.

speaking of good brisket.

I had the best brisket I have ever had outside of one I cooked myself( or was home cooked ).

Das BBQ on Collier Road.  Absolutely killer brisket.  A buddy had ribs and he said they were excellent as well.

I also had the brunswick stew and strangely enough, it sucked.
I'm not terribly surprised on the Brunswick stew...what one person likes is not the same as someone else.  I like mine to be very BBQ sauce-y and chunky with very little okra or lima beans, others want it to be a tomato-based, watery veggie soup.

I thought the brisket from that place in Alabama was decent, but nothing compares to that crack Wes fixed, or Franklin's in Austin.  I was not impressed with Salt Lick in Texas...it was good, but not Frankin's level, or the brisket Jay's family delivered to us in Moab.

I'd like to try your brisket sometime, Tony...I don't think I've ever had it.

The brisket.  Yep.

I had a rockin' good brisket - & I'm a picky,brisket fanatic - last month in Phoenix ,Az at a joint called " Pork on a Fork" .
I would rate their brisket an 7.8 to 8.0 of 10.
If ya ever are there & want BBQ, they know what they're doing there...

I agree

The sides I had we're baked beans ( 4 on 10 scale) , cornbread ( 5 of 10) & Mac&cheese ( 5 of 10) so ,by that, the place was meh mediocre.

I wonder if this could impact the waivers we sign, especially in Kentucky

I have been under the impression that most waivers are not worth the sheet of paper it's written on.
