Mikes got the idea with coating the MDF, or any cheaper grade plywood for that matter. We did speaker enclosures in pickups back in the day in the bed called blow-thrus and we just bedlined the shit out of em and let em ride. Im subbed to this thread, wanna see what you decide, ive been thinking about some sort of enclosure for the LJ, either up against the back of the front seats (bc im afraid someones gonna jack my sub and amp), or a really shallow drawer-type system for the entire floor...

Advantech is supposed to be water proof.  I built a big house with it and it got rained on a lot before dried in and no difference

West marine, but it does need to be ordered. That's a bunch of change though, close to a grand. Dam that stuff has gone up in price.

I am familiar with that stuff but have no plans to use it, way to spendy.

I am looking at putting about $100 into this thing, maybe $150
I want a copy of the drawings and fabrication manual

I built my house using advantech subfloor also. I recall them having a guarantee that you could submerge it for a number of years and it won't swell.

there is some serious time into that setup, and some real skill. That tailgate setup would be easy to duplicate, may have to try it out, itd be easier than doin a drop tailgate like a CJ

GhettoFab Productions does not usually make drawings and manuals....that would be a change order :)

It's one of our biggest differentiators. No drawings or manuals.

Drawings, plans?  That's for girls.  Just measure, cut, test fit, repeat.
