This is exactly why our company took the approach we did and ripped the band aid off all at once with the cost reduction decisions and pay cuts across the board.  At least everyone keeps their job and benefits (which are 100% paid by the company BTW).

Shit. Not us.
We are working like gang Busters.

We had a meeting to & were told they had expected a 5% sales increase over last year.
We are now looking at a 30-50% increase.
That is crazy.

I reluctantly took a peek at my 401k.
It only took a 15% hit.
I was pleasantly surprised.

We’re wide open making wire and cable in the utility (600v, medium and high voltage) market. Building wire has been slower for a while but we can make enough as it stands now. We’ve had a lot less operators showing up to work lately as our attendance policy is waived, but we still have production goals of 23 million ish lbs of wire a month.

FBI warns companies of employees faking coronavirus test results

https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/14/politics/fbi-warning-fake-coronavirus-test-results/index.html

"In total, the FBI estimates the victim company incurred over $175,000 in lost productivity due to the alleged scam. One coworker of the alleged scammer, believing they had been exposed to the virus, also faced personal financial loss after deciding to pay for a rental property where they could remain self-quarantined away from members of their family."

yeah, I wondered about a 2nd & 3rd round of furloughs or layoffs ...all of this sucks . Crazily, I've been doing exactly wtf we're all being required to do for six years now. I've been quarantined by my work & not known that's what it's been the whole time.

my one excursion every month is the GATR ride.
(aren't you guys lucky ! lol)

I've been very lucky & thankful in prayers that that scenario hasn't changed for me much, similar to Dave, I've been in greater demand. the client I subcontract for did make some administration furloughs . I'm not foolish enough to think I'm immune tho

I just miss our rides a whole lot.
My wife , I'd not mind missing a little now that she's home working . 'love her, but, whew...

I saw that USPS is asking for money too as Trump works on a much larger package for airlines. Honest question - why do republicans dislike the post office? Why are they cast in a different light over other large businesses that are receiving money?

For example: Trump said he would reject the CARES act if it included money for the USPS. I can't find a straight answer on why that was.
