Well us tall guys got the raw end for building mass. Those short guys like G have it made! ;)
I've grown tired of this.

Hey guys- I think any pushing movement will be good for chest but I don't know if there is a cure for Dewilds orangatang titties!!LOL!! For me, I use to like the 400lbs+ bench. But Ben and I have years of abuse and for me those days and poundages are over. Incline will generally hit upper pec and front deltoid area. Flat bench hits the entire pectoralis and decline hits the lower. Just pay attention to stabilizing muscles. Triceps and shoulders. I know barbell shoulder presses help your bench sky rocket. I will get into the diet stuff with you guys later. Hope this helps, g

Thanks I got a cheap bench and steel weights for 50.00 a few months ago just started using them ever other day since the 1st of the year. Just been benching 140 I guess the bar weighs around 40-50. I will post pics later to see what yall think.

Richard the bar should be 45 lbs as that is standard. Now they do make a lighter bar for women that is 25 lbs but you don't find many sets with them outside of gyms.

Glenn I am with you on the heavy weight thing. I have no desire to be that big and I feel to much large muscle mass will slow me down on the bike. Once I get to repping 225 lbs for my 5x5 set bench I am going to slow down. Tuesday, my first real weight day, I did 185 for 5 sets so I got a little ways to go

I have long given up on the weight of it. I do lighter weights with proper form. I have seen too many guys throwing weight around and doing nothing. If you concentrate on the excersise and do it right you will get sooo much more out of it. Concentrate on slower movements, squeezing at full flex and fighting the weight on the downslope. Trust me, WEIGHT is overated. Do the excersise right and you will feel it! G, I used to abuse my body with very heavy weights and I do not ever want to do that again. I will stay with the light stuff and do it right. I could care less what the other gym rats think. ;)

Haha good point Ben. In highschool I was definitly a form be damned, I want max weight guy. Now I realize who cares, so nice, slow, under control. The other day at the gym in between sets I watched a guy who repped 245 I think 3 times... Man arch in the back, bouncing it off his chest...  {no}

Yeah. I get a kick out of watching those guys. Most guys are too self absorbed to go lower in weight. I don't care who thinks what. It works for me.

Ego lifting!!! Nothing to report today. Worked from 6am to 1400(2pm). My legs were still hurting from the other day. My "buddy" and I had to climb a hadji ladder(you know the one MikeD). Legs were tight. So no gym today. I got 5k and weights tomorrow. 245x3? Weak!!!!! LOL!1
