Has anyone ever bought like a car or boat from E-bay motors?? I think I may have found a deal too good to be true but going through E-bay has me on the fence.. Not sure what to do... its not a ton of money but enough to where vacation would be out of the question and mothers day would be a day the wife would never let me forget...

Just put a deposit through paypal then pay in full when you go pick it up.

Mike,

Do as Richard suggested, down payment and then final payment when you pick it up. My dad had bought 3 cars through eBay and it has worked ok for him.

i bought a car for my wife off of ebay.... 1988 BMW 325. got it for $2000 several years ago. kept it for 2 years and traded it. got $4000 in credit on the trade. it was a real good car. all it needed was tires and a A/C fixed, which we did. i miss that car....

i also came all around getting screwed on a ATV. bought a old Polaris for $900 that "needed a chain". it needed one alright. in the transmission. i ened up getting $300 back off the deal. i knew nothing about Polaris at the time... and apparently neither did the guy i bought it from. we figured the $300 as the replacement of the transmission by ebay pricing.

turned out the chain is a $45 "normal wear" part. i did have to JB Weld the case because the chain had grooved the case to point that it wouldnt hold gear oil....  >:(

in any case...
that old Kaiser looks sweet. you'd definitely need to trailer that heavy beast, though.
