I think I'm going to try to cut mine first and see how that goes.  Its free and couldnt hurt. Thanks for the input!!! tcdawg howd you cut yours? dremel or sawz all?

Yep. Dremel and a cut off wheel in an angle  grinder for the inner thick plastic.
