I would get a Rubi again. As I have said before, I ended up with a Rubi purely by dumb luck. The resale value is higher, even if you swap parts. The D44's can handle 37's with less cash then an axle swap. The T-Case is a no brainer. E-Lockers, E-Disco. For what your talking, your not going to build the snot out of it, sounds like a win to me.

What is coming on the JL model that interests you?  I'll admit, I have not kept up at all which the new models.

My bad...I thought the JL was the JK stretched by 10+ inches in the body and wheelbase (basically a play on the LJ for the JK).  I was not intending to suggest I would head to the 2017+ Wrangler.

Jeremy at RockKrawler just picked this up for his family rig build now that his daughter is about ready to join up says mom.

If you're going to build a jk...

About $4500 for a set assembled painted and installed with uppers.  They come by the piece.  Don probably paid a few bills for those. If not he stole them.  I never thought of buying those, assumed he would not part those.  My loss.

All the cool kids have them.

Really hard too justify those up against something like axles unless you are well down the build road.

Gerald at Savvy has a nice option that works with the rugged ridge uppers, and I believe can work with the bestop
