Starting a challenge at our work, so far 10 ppl are in.    something to motivate me to lose weight.   im struggling cause during CFR i will be in this, i may starve so i can drink a few beers.  :) 

•   $300 buy-in
•   Initial weigh in will be Tuesday, February 13th
•   Tuesday June 5th  - First weigh-in – First Place gets 30% of the pot, 2nd place gets 10%
•   Tuesday September 4th – Second weigh in  - First Place gets 40%, 2nd  place gets 20%
•   The determining measure is PERCENTAGE WEIGHT LOSS – based off the original weigh-in number.
•   Any form of sabotage (ordering dessert gift baskets or hand-delivered warm Krispy Kremes to the current leader for instance) is strongly encouraged. 
•   Each Weigh in is done in the same outfit (must have shirt and shorts min). No exceptions.

Just give me the $300 and enjoy eating and drinking //LMAO//

Seriously, unless you're ready to dedicate yourself and exercise extremely discipline, you'll have a major uphill battle.  Not trying to discourage you, just a reality check.

Jumped on the scale Monday and was surprised that I was down another 3lbs.  My wife kept telling me over the weekend that I looked trim. 

Basically the same routine.  Gym at least 5 days a week with 30 minutes of cardio, no high glycemic carbs, extra protein, fiber, and healthy fats.  Limited alcohol.

I haven't dropped any weight but I noticed yesterday that I am down another notch on my belt. I keep putting in the work at the gym, in Jiu-Jitsu and my eating habits. I had a yearly checkup with my Family doctor yesterday and he asked some me questions about how I felt and then he informed me that my thyroid levels were off again. I just assumed the tiredness I was feeling was all the working out that I was doing and wasn't used to doing it. I am going to have pay close attention to my tiredness, sleeping habits from here on out. For any of you guys that already deal with thyroid problems any advice on what else to watch for would be greatly appreciated.  @BigMike

@lt99ls1  That is about the extent of it with thyroid issues. You might need more calcium. You'll know if your nails split or break easy. I've been on meds for my thyroid since 2001. The meds pretty much put you back to normal, but you're on them for life. Good luck with everything.

Down another 1.5lbs this week.  7lbs away from my March 11th goal.  Should be able to do that in 4 weeks.
