GATR Ride Rules & Information : http://www.gatrailriders.com/GTRForums/index.php?action=rules

RIDE PLANS :

FRIDAY:  park opens at 8am...members will arrive throughout the day to set up camp and wheel.  There will be no structured Friday rides.  Get together with those that are there and work out wheeling plans.  Camp fires and what not Friday night at sundown.  GaTR ride rules apply to all that come Friday and wheel as a GaTR club member.

SATURDAY:
9:30am(Alabama time) riders meeting.  We will break into groups of like wheeling capabilities and head out to hit the rocks.  The park is not too big so lunch can be back at the camp sites at 1pm.

After lunch we can re-group, stay in the same groups, make bigger groups, smaller groups, whatever may seem to make the wheeling better.  Wheel for the rest of the day.

Camp fires and more what not at sun down.  Maybe a little night wheeling if a group feels up to it.

Hi Guys.
I have a birthday part on Jan 11th, who is planning to ride on Sunday Jan 12th?

If yes I would be going on Sat night, sleeping there and riding all Sunday until 4pm...

Cheers.

I went to Choccolocco today with a friend on his 1st trail on a almost stock JK 2015, only winch and 33's no lift, so to avoid scaring him I tried to gradually show how things work.

We had a lot of fun, the weather was fantastic, the map is not really precise, some Easy (Blue) were Moderate (Black), some Black (Moderate) were totally Dirt Roads (Green), but some Black were sometimes Hard (even to my Rubicon).

Again I had no spotter with me to take pictures, his passenger will send his pics and videos when he gets WiFi, I only took these 2 below...

Cheers!

I was expecting more moisture as it rained a lot last night there, but it was fair, the sky was nice and clear so the sun helped.

I was really concerned about the amount of leaves on some obstacles, I did one high  descending that I almost lost control as the leaves made the jeep slide down out of any traction for some good 3 meters...

I liked the place, but definitely I need a Spotter to try other obstacles. :-)
