I’m just here to say there is no way you’re getting good pricing with shipping USPS unless it’s flat rate... they’re higher than giraffe puss after this last price increase about 4 months ago. I had to pay postage on a letter to a PO Box 20 ft behind the counter... they can go fly a kite.

I try to use flat rate if at all possible. If you ship a lot I highly recommend Regional Boxes - incredibly cheap to ship anywhere east of Colorado. I trade beer with a buddy up in CT often and it's only $8 to stuff a Regional B box. Only problem is the boxes aren't available at the post office, you have to order them online https://faq.usps.com/s/article/Regional-Rate-Boxes

They saved me a 1/2 of what Fed Ex charged me back when I used them ALOT & they provided me the boxes!

If you use flat rate, they’re good priced but what I ship rarely fits in them. I have a rack in a bedroom devoted to nothing but flat rate boxes and envelopes lol.

El Toril at AOP has seen me at my worst and my best on their big fish bowl margs... them Jalisco nachos will do it to you.  BTW, going this weekend if you ain’t skeered of rona

I saw that USPS is asking for money too as Trump works on a much larger package for airlines. Honest question - why do republicans dislike the post office? Why are they cast in a different light over other large businesses that are receiving money?

For example: Trump said he would reject the CARES act if it included money for the USPS. I can't find a straight answer on why that was.

So I read that earlier and the dates line up with this:

“But an even bigger cause of the financial decline is a 2006 law that requires the Postal Service, unlike any other government agency, to pay $5.5 billion a year into a health fund for its future retirees. The majority of the agency’s losses since 2007, about $32 billion, result from the health funding requirement, financial documents show.”

As you know, the PAEA was passed under Bush, which brings me back to my original question of why conservatives dislike the post office so much? It started before the red in your graph.

Trump brand Hydroxychloroquine will solve it...no problem.  He should release the emergency stockpile, force companies too make unlimited amounts of it, and get everyone else back to work immediately.  Show some leadership, Trump.

I presume you mean the Gub'ner's stupidity...her order was a bit extreme, according to Fox News.

The longer it goes on, the more we're going to see people throw caution to the wind. Everyone has a breaking point and I imagine we'll see more and more people reach theirs over the next month.

It's hard to stay at home when you've been out of work for 3 months and you're going to lose your home. Most of us in this group are fortunate to have steady jobs, but health care and service jobs make up the bulk of our economy now. Without people dining out, staying in hotels, or having surgeries we're on borrowed time before people lose houses. Sure we can delay payments, but good luck catching up on 3+ months of back payments for your apartment.
