AH! Gotcha. Looks like that bushing kit will do the trick for you, and it's cheap so worth a whack.

Ok, I finally crawled under the jeep today and found the problem. Now my problem is I don't know how to fix it. What I found was that the cable came off right where it connects to the shift arm on the tranny. It's a ball and socket connection, so all I did for now was take a couple of zip ties to it.

Duct tape can hold on at mach 1. Umm, I wasn't supposed to know that  ::)

It wasn't one of our planes, it was on someone elses plane we were working on. Actually it wasn't even an American Carrier, it was owned by Arab's. I hope this clears up a few things, but I know that it will hold at faster than 200mph, when preped proper.
