I've had the original Droid for almost two years. It does everything I need it to and then some. As usual with smart phones, there is always a battery issue. Mine seems to be average. I have heard about a Droid Bionic... anyone heard anything about it? Dunno if its been released or not. Maybe its known as something else. In October I'll be eligible for a upgrade with Verizon so I'm starting to scout around to see what I like. I've heard of a Droid X2 as well... Both seem pretty badass to me.

If you travel around the 3g is a better choice. The 4g network is still being built and is not available everywhere.

Yep, that's what the guy at the Verizon store told me. He said the phone will be in 3g more than 4g so there's no reason to pay the few extra $ for it.

I guess I took the opposite approach. Verizon plans to have 4G nationwide by 2013, so I decided I might as well get on the boat now since I will have this phone into 2013. We don't have 4G in Macon yet, but most major cities do now, so having 30 Mbps download speed while sitting at the airport is very nice.
