New Droid Pro - WOW

Last Friday they handed me a Droid Pro, the Global phone that we've been waiting on to come available since I travel internationally.

WOW.  I had NO IDEA what I was missing. This thing is incredible.  Being a Blackberry user for 6 years, it's great that it has a keyboard, but the browser, voice commands of voice type, search contacts, search Google, navigate GPS, etc, are amazing.

At the lake last night, where we have no internet or phone, (Directv) I turned on the wireless hot spot, and logged in my laptop, wife's, and could have hooked up to 5.  And it was FAST.  The kids are gonna love this on trips in the car and at the lake next summer.

Looks like a great phone. The mobile hot spot would be awesome. The Droid phone(s) is so far advance over the iPhone in my opinion. When my contract with ATT is up I am probably going to Virgin mobile though. $40 for unlimited talk / text / web with 1200 minutes sounds awesome to me. Don't need a huge coverage area and the mountains where I hike usually gives me no service with ATT anyways.

I just bought sherry the Droid X, basically does the same as the i Phone. The guy at Verizon said the only people talking about the i phone coming to Verizon are 3rd party vendors and they are saying could happen by the end of the 1st quarter. They guy also said Verizon never said anything about the ipad, it just showed up one day and they started selling it, so who knows.......
