I have a child in college and plugged all that crap in and it didn't help me a bit.

What is this American Opportunity Credit?

Did you get 1098T form from the college and enter that?

Since I'm able to control my reported taxable income that may also be a reason I can get it and not you.

I reviewed the info Clark posted.  Thanks Clark.

Now I remember that I did go through the information on my tax program.  I don't qualify for the credit.

Ignorant is my favorite word for those who don't know they don't know...usually they are offended by it, since they are ignorant to its meaning.

While we are on the subject of ignorance, did you know that gullible is not in the dictionary?  Crazy, right???
