so just watching my food and calories and doing a mild work out on the Wii Fit I had lost 1.8 lbs since Monday. I weigh in the same clothes, time of day, ect so it is exact as possible. Next week I plan to workout a little better (new years eve and day kinda through me off). Hopefully we can also start jogging soon.

yep and I think it is a 10k, not a 5k.....

WHERE THE HECK IS GLENN?

Anyways, just to update. Today is exactly 7 days from when I started watching my calories, cutting out the snacks (candy, cake, cookies that folks bring to work) and we are eating better here at home along with the Wii Fit (sit ups, pushups, yoga, boxing, ect) and I have lost 4 lbs as of today. Megan has lost 2 lbs I think and she didn't work out 2 or 3 days that I did. Hopefully if weather holds out we can run on Wednesday.

I figure I might make it to 260 lbs (started at 267, currently at 263) and I will hit "the wall". I have 2 weeks of Wii Fit in the schedule and adding in either running or bike and then we change it up and start with the weight room at the apartment center. Since we are more worried with just getting back in shape right now we are doing the simple workout:

Mon- Upper/Abs
Tues- Lower
Wed- Cardio/Abs
Thur- Upper
Fri- Lower/Abs
Sat- light cardio like on the Wii
Sun- rest

One we get through the first 8 week cycle I will see where we are. I don't really care to be a muscle head again like highschool. I want more endurance strength so I can enjoy the mountain bike more and help with hiking.

O, found a pretty good website of information:

Good luck with the everyday workout, that's tough!

The website you listed is interesting thanks, I'll be checking that out a little bit more.

Ah I think the hardest part will be the (lack of better words) haters. Family and co-workers are also trying to lose weight but they see no results. Yet I see plenty of candy on their desk and mcdonald bags In the trash can.

Doing the every day thing is not bad but we are just in the apartment. Once we go to the weight room it might be a little harder.

Also, by being on an 8 week plan might make it easier to deal with. I did the every night routine for almost 2 years and just hit a flat spot and never went back for almost 21 years. I did a little bit here and there but nothing like that.

Well hopefully the motivation factor keeps me going! I thrive on results big time. Right now besides the looking better is being in better shape when I start mountain biking again. Last year 8 miles was killed and I was crap at hill climbs. Hopefully weighing 20 lbs or so less this year and having so endurance built up will make it more fun for me

Well due to our school schedules we are moving to full body workout on Tuesday, thusday, Saturday and I will do cardio stuff when I can on the days between. The weight room is pretty limited on lower body work out. All we have is leg press and calf raises so might as well combined the workouts. Also eating better now too.

Chuck how are you doing?

Not worth a crap! I just got over that cold I had since December 13th and then I twisted my ankle last night going up the stairs. I didn't twist it bad but enough to make it sore while walking. Hopefully, I can get back to jogging in a few days. I'm guessing by now I will be starting all over again.........................I did a mile about two or so weeks ago and it about killed me. It's easy for things to get in the way and slow down process!
