Ok, I want to see some pics every day Doug! I know you are on the way, but alot of us here need some MOAB updates! SO POST UP Punkie! {popcorn}

Day 1:

(Prepare Jeep and Tahoe Thursday night until 11:00. 
Wrap up some work, and pack.  To bed at 1:10AM.
Wake up 3:30AM, roll 4:10 AM.)

816.8 miles today with an average moving speed of 64.2. Lots of stops. They never let me run the fuel down after they all woke up. "I really really really have to p!  lol. 

12 MPG, and had a stiff 20 mph headwind for some of the day.

Day 2 was even more miles.  Made a decision to take on the Rockies and charged aheaad.  Tahoe did ok but it will be diesel next time.  Grand Junction by 8:30, dinner, and crashed.

Easy day today we hope.  Breakfast, visit Cabelas, walmart, and 2 hours to Moab.

If you take the southern way back, I recommend a short detour to Mesa Verde if you have time and interest.  2 years ago I stopped for an afternoon and visited one of the cliff houses; wish I'd had an entire day.  You have to unhitch the trailer at the entrance gate as the road is winding afterwards with no parking for a truck/trailer combo further on.
